On 8 December 2009, S.L.NG & ASSOCIATES (AF 0064) CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS (M) (“Audit Firm”) had organised an event in conjunction with launching a new line of services and an update to the recent Budget 2010 to all of its existing and potential clients. There were more than 80 participants during the event. A complimentary lunch was provided by the Firm at the end of the event as a mark of appreciation to the Firm’s clients for their continuous support.
The speakers of the event are as follows:-

During the event, the following milestones were achieved:-

- Launching of new services – Financial Planning
- Updates on Budget 2010. The following are some of the highlights shared during the event.
- Maximum individual income tax rate reduced from 27% to 26% for chargeable income exceeding RM100,000.
- Personal relief increase from RM 8,000 to RM 9,000 in 2010.
- Income Tax rate for non-resident individual be reduced from 27% to 26%.
- Personal tax relief raised to RM 7,000 from RM 6,000 now for EPF contribution and life insurance premiums.
